204 WHP H22 EF. No fancy headers or IM.
Yesterday got my new cams installed and tuned in my 91 hatch.
204 WHP with Type-S pistons, no balance shafts, and in the case of the green graph, Crower stage 2a cams.

Stock IM/TB with an AEM CAI. Stock Prelude header primaries, with a b-pipe from an accord (it fit.)
Proof you don't need high-dollar parts on the outside of an engine to make power.
We couldn't take care of the dip at crossover no matter what we did, just an issue with the stock idle lobes and the aggressive vtec lobes, probably fixable once I do get around to putting in a worthwhile header.

Yea i think the H22 is gonna come back in popularity.
I heard about a kit..not sure who makes it but it supposedly called the K-Killer....where u can use b-series mounts and a b16 tranny (for example)
It being a hell of alot cheaper than a K series with more torque and only being 20 pounds heavier, matched with the short gears of a b16 trans....its got alot of potential.

Yea of course you don't need "high-dollar parts on the outside of an engine to make power" But do you honestly think that your stock prelude header with accord b-pipe will out perform a rmf or smsp header.
So this is just proof that you don't need fancy parts until you want to make more power then what you are at now.

It is called the H2B Kit, made by QuarterSportDrag. With the gearing of the b16 tranny it is "faster" (arguably) than some of the K swaps. But I think it stands to reason that most people would rather spend 3-4 thousand on a proper H swap than the far more expensive K series.
Now I just have to slap that 2.2L beast into my poor little '88 Std. Crx.

The point is that internal engine parts are a better initial investment.
The current header is a stop-gap until I can get the swap bar'ed. There is no CARB-approved h22 header worth spending money on if you already have a stock one to put on it. Then this thing gets a real header.

Parts go hand in hand, and each one compliments each other. You have upgraded cams, with a throttle body and at least a port matched intake manifold, the cams would respond much better.

We need to build 2 EF's K EF (Ryan's) and H22 EF (hint mine) haha and have the same mods stage 2/3 cams etc etc...and do a best out of 5...
(someone throw me some NA dough) I'll drive down to Cali from Wa haha...
I am not a dyno guy but isn't that a hub dyno?
Your secondaries hooked to vtec? could explain slight dip...

I'm not saying they won't. Internal mods, however are going to get me through a BAR swap certification, while worthwhile stuff elsewhere won't.
I couldn't even put on adjustable cam gears yet.

It barely fits, have a SiR style hood, and it's still spaced up. But it moves good, doesn't feel front-heavy or anything.
I am using a 5th gen H22 transmission. No H2B.

Dynapack bolts to the hubs, but unlike a dynojet, it is a load-bearing dyno so I was able to get part throttle tuned.
Nope, P72, so it has full IAB control. Those open about 4300 on this tune. VTEC engages at 4800.

I'd die without my LSD
I made 204 whp 166 wtrq with a JDM H22 HMO crate (Engine un-touched) I/H/E p28 crome dynojet
Lack of decent header and exhaust is choking it on the back end
Keep the stock intake mani

i dont want to **** in this thread with a k vs. H argument...
but the k series transmission alone should be why you would want to do the swap.
the gearing is awesome. not to mention 250whp+ with bolt ons and cams. talk about reliable horsepower.
i would love to have an N/A H2B car because of the price.... but honestly, with 2.2L of displacement, they really arent making crazy number like you would expect vs. the 2.0L.

Who ******* cares....its damn near the same power stock to stock and about 1/3 the price if not less.....That gets my vote right there.

vs
250+ horspower with cams alone and 2.0L with a better geared transmission.
im sorry, they arent anywhere near as close.
if someone thinks a K swap is all hype, go race one, go drive one, or go ride in one and come back.
