Default What master cylinder to use with my HF?

I've been searching and it seems there are alot of choices when upgrading the MC on our CRX's. I have a 90 HF with b16, recently did the rear CRX SI disc conv, just replaced the 17 year old rubber lines with SS, (the fronts were pulled tight and one was cracked bad). The previous owner upgraded the front knuckles/brakes with something integra, civic SI or other to work with the B16 swap.

What master cylinder should I be using. Better yet, is there anyway to tell what I have already? I am not sure if the booster or prop valve have been swapped to something else.

Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Seaching the archives gets confusing as I am not sure what people posting have already upgraded in the rest of their CRX brake system.

If you look at the MC is should have write 13/16 or 15/16 on it. Also on the booster there is a buck tag on the top (either green or orange) that would have a number with a v. Like 195v or 205v. The prop valve also has numbers on it.

I would look at doing an Integra booster and MC to upgrade everything. Or you can go to a 15/16 MC of a 4dr EX and that will bolt directly to your current booster.

Give us the info I asked for an we'll go from there.

Cool, I was hoping there was some sort of identification to look for. Will do and post later this evening or tomorrow morning. I'll see what prop valve I have too!

Thanks!!!!

the master cylinder is a 13/16, and the booster is a 180 volt. It was raining so I wasn't able to find out where the proportioning valve was.

Well you basically have the worst of the worst. The the V after the number on the booster is for vacuum not volt...FYI.

If I were you I'd upgrade to a NON-ABS integra booster and MC.
