Default Mugen forged wheels

I have some forged mugen wheels that are powder coated. To remove the paint, would it be a bad idea for someone to heat them to around 400 degrees to remove it? I just dont want to disrupt the integrity of the wheel.

a chemical dip may cause unwanted pitting to the forged wheel surface. i would really take my time w/ it. i know stripping/sanding paint can be very frustrating at times but hang in there and it will pay off at the end.

if u haven't done so already, try using jasco brush-on form paint remover and leave on half a day or over night. i also like to use the spray on type afterwards to touch up some left over paint. a nice mouse type sander may also come in handy as well
