PY 00-1247 stolen from my driveway Friday morning. Be very careful with your Rs. Gotta deal with the insurance company. Any advice.

this trend is getting very very upsetting. its gotten so bad. i was talking to a guy at a stereo/alarm/etc shop today. my friend was asking about alarms for his GSR. the guy was like "honestly an alarm won't do too much if they really want your car". this shocked me cause the guy is on commision......

About the insurance, ... start collecting ITR ads to put together a reasonable "price" for an ITR.

oh no, not another one gone. Im sorry bro. I hope luck comes your way and your R will be found. It's really disappointing to be reading new stolen R posts every day. I'm forunate to park in a gargage, but I don't even like parking at a store anymore. If im out in my R, It doesn't leave my sight anymore.

My R was almost always a garaged car with 12000ms. Left it out overnight. I didnt here a thing. If its not recovered I'm thinking about a RXS type S and mod it. The 350Z looks good too.

Especially since Type-R theft seems so rampant lately, everybody on here should know that the figure that the insurance company gives you IS NOT FINAL. It is not set in stone, by any means. My friend's R got stolen, and the insurance company was using GS-R values to gauge how much they were going to give him. He had to explain to them, in a calm and polite manner, that the Type-R is not just a regular Integra. He told them that not only did it have sentimental value, but that production is very limited (meaning that it has quite a bit of collector's value, as well).

Moral of the story: The insurance company gave him $25,000 for the car.

Then he went and bought a Cobra. What was he thinking??!
