Other then the way they look, which ones are lighter? Is there a reason why the Si rims are shaped the way they are (I know some rims will be a specific shape to draw air into the brakes)?

differents is that the Si are 17" and EX are 16" - 17" looks better on the FG body, 16" looks too small... TOV.net did a weight on both and I think they wieghed right in around the same.

My g/f has an EX with the 17" rims and she really likes my Si wheels... I am considering swappin with her... The Si rims seem kinda' "flowery" to me, lol... Just gotta' swap the rubber too which will cost money...

I would like to know as well. I am wondering what process and materials were used. Maybe the si rims are forged and are sturdier?

I sure know which ones look a hell of a lot better

EX is 16" standard, 17" available, 18" available (HFP required, which adds 1" drop with suspension mods by dealer)

My EX (07 2dr) has HFP with 215/40/18.

Ehhh.. seems like a good topic to post this question. Pretty sure its been covered in others but since we're talkin EX vs SI Rims. I'm going to mount SI 17" on my EX, and have 10mm spacers. Is that too much? It has been suggested to me to purchase lug nuts with extra threads to cover to 10mm distance... So I guess a lot of questions:

1) Do I need 10mm spacers, is that too much?
2) If I go with 10mm SHOULD i purchase longer threads
3) If I do need to, where do I get em?
4) If I just mount the wheels without longer threads, do I REALLY run the risk of poppin tires off due to lessened nuttin up? (weird way to ask I know)

Much thanks

just get 3mm spacers.

If you can spin your lugnuts a minimum of 8 full revolutions... your ok.

someone on here put SI wheels on his EX. He showed a picture without a spacer and they fit, but they were too close for comfort. He used an 8mm offset and it worked good

I remember the post and it was actually an 1/8th inch spacer or 3mm (pretty much the same thing) not 8mm (too much)

Stupid question, would moving from 16's to 17' or 18's affect your speedo's accuracy very much?

it depends on the circumfrence of the tire you are using. not necesarily the wheel. a 205/50/17 will be larger than a 205/40/17
