Default Transmission Identification question.

Ok, does anyone know if there is away to identify what the transmission model is besides the sticker on the front? I have an opportunity to get a transmission but depending on which one it is will determine if its a good deal or not. The problem is, the sticker that says "M2(scratched off)4" So I am hoping there is some other way to identify this tranny

Once you buy it, figure out if its non lsd or if it is, we should be able to ID it then by the speed you're at vs rpm and such....
