quality HID kit?
Was look at ebay for a nice HID setup for my 97 SH. There are a few that have projector headlight assemblies for like 400 bucks. Was thinking of getting rid of my stock lights as they loosing the clear coat and are pitted bad. What have other people done to make a HID that looks factory.

i've heard of people refinishing their stock headlights when clear coat comes off (cheapest possible solution). But theres also a couple sets of lights on ebay that resemble HID kits but they are much cheaper and fit bolt on without any modifications. depends on how much coin you wanna drop as oppose to how much labour you wanna do. but i guess thats how it always is dog! refinishing headlights sounds like a pita to me though. i still don't understand how it could be come transparent/clear when sanding and buffing the shiet out of them, But it is possible so i guess you'd just have to search for the "how to do it yourself".
