On the EK Civic seats, the passanger side slider has a function that when you flip the back up, the seat slides forward too. I want that function in my 1990 STD Hatch for the purpose of getting the baby's car seat in the back easier.

I'm trying to understand what makes this function happen of the seats sliding forward with the slip of the side lever... is it the seat? Is it the rails/sliders? Is it a combo of the two?

If it's the rails then according to the S2000 Seat Install there is no way to do this outside of custom fabrication... am I right with this thinking?

 

It is the seat rails. You can either swap seat pans or you can fab up your own mounts to attach to your rails to the seat of your choice.

So if it the "one touch slider" function is on the EK rails, then I can't get that function on my car without custom fabrication.... right?

I understand that I can do the seat pan swap to get almost any other Honda seat I want into my hatch... but that will still leave me with the crappy rails that don't have the function that I want.
