I droped a single cam vtec motor on my 97 accord. I just got the car to turn on but it is idling at 3000 RPM. I played with the adjustment screw on the TB but it still idles at 3000 RPM. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? The motor been seating in my garage for about 1yr befor I installed it. Also am using my old Non VTEC harness, distributer & injectors. If I swap to the VTEC harness would it plug right in ? Cause I would like to install the injectors ect... from the motor. Thanks to all for your time.

 

check for any open holes/nipples on the intake manifold.
see if your throttle cable has some slack and if your throttle body butterfly is fully closed.
