D series Alternator compatibility
I have a 1989 CRX Si, and the alternator is about to crap out on me. Normally I'd just drop the cash on a quality new unit. Considering im going to be doing a JDM K20A, or a B18C5 swap shortly, I don't want to spend money unnecessarily. So Can I use the alternator from a 1999 D16Y7 from a Civic CX hatchback?
I think you might be missing the point. I already have the 99 alternator, its FREE . If I have to spend the money I will just buy a new one that has a warranty. I don't want to do that, that is money toward other components for the upcoming swap.
