Default My cable to pop my gas cap broke

So I went and picked up a new cable (dee dee dee).

Anybody else have there's break prematurely? Parts guy said they break all the time in the 7th gens.

Okay I'm going to give this fueldoorfix thing a shot, I just ordered one. If it works I'll return the cable assembly.

you can pry it open with your car key, just wrap it in a papper towel.

Well I can get to it by pulling 3 panels, a cover plate, and like one screw, so worse comes to worse I'll just disassemble it again and drive around with it taken apart til I get the part.

If this works, it's probably not a bad idea to have if you're not under warranty. They sell 5 of these fix it clamps for like $60 something dollars. It's $23.25 shipped for one, be a good group buy item.

$12 insurance policy against a cable assembly that costs over $100 and will probably fail at some point in your car.

its not gonna damage ur fuel door. its a pos that can be pryed open with a ****** nail

just wrap ur car key in paper and stick it in teh grove and pop it out. ive been doing it for 5 months and have maybe like 2 nicks in the paint that touch up takes care off

Hey, if you ever lock your keys in the car, just take a crowbar and wrap it in a paper towel. Your door will pop right open.

well when you run out of gas and cant open your gastank you can wait for AAA who will come with a crow bar and open it for you wihout asking questions.

its a shitty latch, wont damage it prying it open.
