a few swap questions
I am in the process of swapping a 93 teg motor into my 90 si. I am also trying to convert the motor to obd-0. I have another motor from a obd-0 teg that I am using for parts. I have been reseaching for quite a while and have some questions on the sensors on the back of the motor, I'm not sure what they are other than the thermosensor. I was hoping to use the Si harness with minimal modification. what other problems might I run into when converting it to obd-0? I think that one isnt used but I'm not sure. any help is appreciated.

no clue what that sensor is...but my thoughts on your swap. Its easier to make your harness obd1 then to make your motor obd0......i used my si harness....the main thing you need to change on your si harness is the injectors plugs and alternator plug, and get your self jumpers for your ecu...aside from that you should be good...and why go obd0?...its harder to find a good ecu for the obd0..and with a obd1...you have p28 options...hope that helps you a little
I am running on a very limited timeline( i can only borrow my family's car for so long) I have the ecu, dizzy and a whole obd-0 motor to get parts from. I have a lot of the parts to swap to odb1 and i plan to, but I dont have the jumper and I have no time and damn near no funds due to bills. I just figured if I swapped the injectors, dizzy and used the obd-0 teg ecu that I shouldn't have any problems. any thoughts?
You are lucky enough to start out with the si harness which makes things a whole lot easier. The main thing you will need is the obd0 distributor. most of the other items you can just swap over from the donor motor you have. The stuff on the back of the motor (off the top of my head) are the TPS Sensor, Fast Idle Control sensor, air intake temp sensor and the evap purge sensor. This is the stuff you need to get your car to idle smooth. I'd just start swapping the stuff you can and swap the plugs for the things you can't. FYI I had until a few weeks ago, an OBDII dx motor in 91 crx SI. I swapped the multiport stuff onto the dx motor and changed the Intake manifold and exhaust manifold from the old si motor. That's another option if you want to make it easier.
Also, you'll also need to relocate/rewire the map sensor. Since ours are on the firewall stock (if you use the OBDI manifold/throttle body)
hope that helps you.

the map sensors were another question, the plug for the 93 is a 4 prong as oppossed to the 2 prong of the si. so I can give you a list of what I have so far. 2 b18a1 motors one is obd-0 and the other is obd-1(which is the one I am using). I have 3 intakes 2 I think are obd-1 and another is obd-0. I have plenty of spare parts I just want to know what sensors I can omit from the setup. ultrajuan, you explianed most of what I was looking for. how do I rewire the map/purge sensors?. other than that the only thing I am confused on is what sensors I can use and which ones I can leave out.
bump and a stupid question on axles which one is which(driver's side pass. side) i forgot to lable them. i still need help on the sensors, which to use and which to omit and how do I wire the solonoids next to the teg map sensor
