hey i had a question about insuring my crx. it has a clean title so thats a +, but i was wondering that since my crx is now reff'ed is it possible to get full coverage on it against theft/vandalism/etc.. and still be able to get all my modifications back if it were stolen? wat i mean is if it was stolen would my insurance be able to get my crx back with a swapped motor since it now technically is a 1.8L crx?? does anyone have their car insured this way? if so wat company are u using and how much more do u pay? thanks

You're really going to have to ask an insurance agent. I don't know how it works in Cali if you;ve gotten it BARd as a 1.8L, but most insurance companies will let you pay for a comprehensive plus option. For example, it'll cover extra things in or on the car provided you have receipts. My car has $2K coverage extra on it for the motor and othre little upgrades I've installed, mostly just to protect myself from getting bent over if it's ever totalled.

 

Well that is what I am, and no you can't get it insurd like that.

Some companies you can other companies list you as a "hot rod or custom" your rates are high but you set what your car is worth.
