Default cranks out in the civic

would it be smarter and more cost efficient and time efficient to buy a lower end or a whole motor for a D15?

haha, what a dumbass...ya i think im just gonna do that, a friend of mine said they have a motor for a hundred bucks but they dont know if it runs or anything, but they said they compression tested it and it tested good but who knows...ya some dumb *** shop that worked on the car right after i got it forgot the crank key out when they changed my timing belt and all that good stuff so it keeps spinning around in the keyway, then the pulleys, the belts and all that good stuff rattle theirselves off and it starts shooting metal out the side of the motor and the shop that worked on it fixed it twice but now they said they arent messing with it anymore since its been 30,000 miles, so im stuck getting a motor.

wow that shop sucks *****, that throws your timing off way bad, so basically, your valves could of hit the head, fucked that up etc, sounds like you threw a rod bearing, d15b7's suck as motors anyway, d16z6's are pleantyful and are somewhat of an uppgrade, especially if bult properly, so might as well fgo for a d16z6 long bloc you can get one for under 500 bucks running
