Default went for a test drive

I've been looking at getting a new car for awhile.. so I went and took a few cars for a test drive, 07 civic Si, 03 Evo VIII, and an 03 350z. I loved all of the cars. But I had to take a few things into consideration. 1. price, 2. I drive 45 min to work everyday, 3. I love Hondas, 4. insurance, 5. payments, 6. reliability, and 7. usability.

All things considered, I have my sights set on an 07 Civic Si in NHBP. I went to 2 dealerships already, but after I got the 2nd quote the other dya, I don't think I'm going to be looking around (200 over invoice). There's one more dealership I have to stop at before I make a decision. Then I have to go and order it in, (it should have less than 250miles on it when I get it) but the part that's killing me is I got out of college a few months ago, and I got a nice job. Only thing is, the bank is making me wait 90 days before I can get a loan. So.. I have to wait until July 5th for a loan for the FG2. It's killing me.

Definitly a graet car. well balenced between economy and performance. 67 more days.

the first Si I drove was a 4dr in nhbp. my mom was with me when I was looking since we just got back from going out to eat. I stopped at the dealership and the sales person remembered me and asked if I wanted to take it out for a spin, I said sure and she threw the keys at me and off I went, came back and took out the coupe.. definitly staying with the coupe. 2nd dealership I went to, he wouldn't let me take it out since it was inside. he said that people have put enough miles on it already and he doesn't want to rack up the miles for when someone buys it. 250 is the max it will see on the road before someone buys it.

Yep. Reliability is definately there. Its a honda.

Gas milage... of course. the 07 is rated at 23 city / 32 highway.

Definately packs a punch, but I won't lie, those other two cars are in a different league.

The interior is definatey the best on the Si though, its extremely sleek and definately the most modern out of the other 2, and its definately a head turner. I had a few people in a Porsche Cayman almost break their necks trying to look at my car

Your stealerships definately seem like d-bags though. Keep looking. I got mine 600 under invoice with a 60k mile service plan included.

Good choice. All 3 are great cars.....but in terms of your situation the Si is the best for you.

the Si was definitly more comfortable than any other of the cars I drove. esp having to drive 45 min to work.. yeah.. that's a huge plus. esp since its all non-stop driving

22,406 isn't that bad with foglights, and that included tax, title, reg, and all of that other crap you have to go through.

Personally.. 250 miles is USED to me. At my closest dealership, they do a very stupid thing - They have all SI sitting out ready to be driven, instead of say just one coupe and one sedan. So now every sedan there has 100+ miles on it. Sorry, but I refuse to pay the new car price on a car that has had 100+ miles of most-likely "spirited" driving on it.

Another dealer a lil farther out has a test sedan that they sell for under invoice because of just that - it was tested (thoroughly)

FG2 FTW!!! I was lookin at STi's before I bought mine and took the same things into account before making my decision.

Ultimately, if you want a great, reliable car that's reasonably priced, sporty and still practical, the Si is the way to go

Just my $.02

I'll have 250 miles on that thing in a week with work. so that really doesn't bother me. plus, if they have to get it from another dealership for me, it's going to have that many miels on it reguardless.. and if I want it trailored in, it's going to cost me, so I might as well just drive to where it is and try to make a deal. i have 1 more dealership to check out before i decide on "the" place i'm going to. but for right now, i have a pretty good idea.

Dealer adjusted price is what the dealer is asking.

MSRP is the Honda window sticker with destination included.

Invoice is what the dealer pays Honda for the car.
