What is the best way to get rid of curb rash on a wheel lip? I have some OEM TL wheels that I want to try and clean up before mounting to tires. Should I just lightly sand the marks? I've heard you can weld metal onto the lip and sand it down. I don't weld and don't want to spend $$$ for welding.
I'll post pics of the curbage later on

I curbed up my rotas pretty bad before and tried sanding it, and it didnt look right up close....I would definitly weld it so you can almost get to the original way it looked.....and sand it from there.
Depending on how bad it is just hit it with the lowest possible sand paper gritt, then work your way up.
I bought some wheels that had some pretty nasty curbage and I hit it with some 80 grit. Then worked up until 3000. I used 3000 just because i was polishing.

If the TL wheels are painted and not polished (which I think they are), this is how you do it.
