Carbon Fibre
Stock fenders arent the heavy to begin with, I dont think its worth it for $700. For $700 you can get a used Carbon Fiber Hood for around $300, and some light weight Rotas for around $400 and save more wieght than the fenders will.

I fyou hav all the other light weight stuff done (wheels, hood, windows, stripped interior) than yeah. You can also get doors, bumpercovers, rear hatchs, filler panels, rocker panels, and quarter panels now for tegs. If u wreck your car will shatter and you will be dead w/o a serious roll cage.

Also, I heard that you can get decapitaded from a CF hood if you're in a front on colision? Any truth to this? Or is this death you speak of just occuring because you have no crumple zones?

You can spend $700 on the fenders & $550 on the hood, keep the heavy front bumper... and all that stuff will still be heavier than my one piece front end. If you are SERIOUS about saving weight, then one piece front end.
