He meant at what RPM do you cruise/coast on when you're driving on city streets.

no such thing as rpms on streets.... depends on your area, by me there is a light on every block pretty much but in a place like NJ or tennesee you might see a light every 10 miles.

a better question may be.. at 45mph do you ride in 5th or 6th? or something along those lines... that way everybody has an answer for you

Y fo yu no speaky good engwish???!!???

I think that would depend on the SPEED LIMIT don't you? If city streets are at 30mph vs. 45mph your rpms are going to vary.

I do 5mph over the speed limit pretty much at all times and always end up in 6th gear... Even if I am in a 35 zone doin' 40mph I am in 6th gear... I dont like to let the RPM's drop under 2,000 but I will NOT let them drop under 1,500...

the last guy understood. a better one whould have been what gear do u drive in goin 40mph

i worded it that way cuz i dont watch the speedo i watch the tak because i cant see the speedo cuz i sloutch too much. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by RICO_ &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

it wouldnt matter because the SI is a manual. u run it where u want to . drive 40 mph in 2nd gear or in 6th gear. which makes the rpm different doin the same speed. thats the beauty of the manual.

same question, but it didn't take 15 posts to know what the question was: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1964730

basically, low rpms without chugging along = better fuel economy. just don't get caught by a monte carlo when you're rolling in 6th at 1800 rpm!
