I want to register and insure my bike in ny aswell as get licensed in ny, i have residences both in nj and in ny, but have my drivers license and car registered in nj. How could i go about this? I have proof of address for ny by the way. I read that you need a nys driver license to apply for motorcycle permit is there an exception with this?? Considering i live in both?

 

Why not just get it in NJ? I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have licenses in two different states

Nope you need to have a license from which state you are applying to.
