blinking red light of ecu?

my ecu blinks a red light ..what could that mean ...it blinks 14 times stops then another 14 stops n just keeps on blinking 14 stop 14stop?

wouldn't it be something else because a 14 would be one long then 4 shorts.

i have seen some cars do the long blink then single fast ones and i have seen the do all in fast blinks so i would guesse thats the code its throwing
