It also means if your cat ever needs replacement, the costs will be $$$$.

V6 is rated 20/29

I4 is rated 25/31 manual and DX auto is 22/30 auto LX/EX auto is 22/29

In my '98 LX V6 I got an average of 24 in town and 34 on the highway at 75mph

SULEV is CA model and I do not beleive that it is available outside that state (not sure though)

And what do you plan to accomplish with those parts? Dont change arbitrary parts assuming its adding HP. Think of what you want to do with the car and plan accordingly.

i've thought plenty about what i'm going to do to my car i was just curious about what throws the codes. the only thing of those i planned on doing was a short ram. the rest will come with the major power adders

K basicly. intake is fine. Changing the exhaust to make it louder is fine. Removing the CAT/changing to another one is NOT fine. Basicly, small things. SULEV is just more sensitive. Bolt on part= OK. Anything that monitors Co2 is not good to change.,

You just answered your own question. My suggestion to you, is to educate yourself on how the emissions system works, BEFORE you post any more misguided information on this subject. It will be a brighter, and much less ignorant world for all of us.

Random Technology cats are roughly $300, or a Car Sound cat will barely cost you $100.

It is an engine that operates extremely efficiently. If that's your definition of 'good', then yes. It is Extremely good. And, it's made by Honda, so you know for a fact that reliability is up there.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you're purposefully being very vague when you say 'mod it'. I have an F23A4, ULEV model that is built for boost, currently naturally aspirated, running on the stock ECU, and clocks 0-60 in less than 6 seconds, but you won't find any CEL's here.

Read above.

Absolutely!

Wrong. Though that would be a sight to see!

He can change those parts as he pleases. They do in fact yield gains, though 1-2whp will not be noticeable. Specific knowledge tuning these parts have produced up to 6whp, but there are better places to invest money that will produce a much more pleasant driving experience.

Finally some good advice.

Changing the cat is perfectly acceptable and 99% of the time will NOT produce a CEL. Changing the cat for a 'test pipe' as f23a4t mentioned, is completely unacceptable in many ways. The key is to retain the second O2 sensor, and keep it placed AFTER the catalytic element in the exhaust flow.

Corrected.

EDIT for spelling and clarity.

I am not going to sit here and argue. Fact is, since i put a test pipe on the car it has been throwing codes saying my Secondary o2 is bad. Even after i replaced it. I guess its just a coincidence.

putting on a test pipe on a OBD2 car will throw codes. though it usually throw a code saying your cat is not working properly.
