Default question about the dpfi>mpfi swap, is there a "right way"?

while swapping an ls-vtec into a 89 crx that had a dpfi>mpfi conversion done to it when i got the car (had a d15b) i noticed that the injectors are wired so that when inj1 fires so does inj3, like they just bridged the injectors together, i can see how this works, but isnt this kind of a half *** way to do it? wouldnt the best way to go about this be run new wires from the ecu to the injectors? or am i thinking about this way to hard?

thanks guys
