headlights: how to take apart?
perhaps it's listed here somewhere, but did a search for a description and couldn't find it;
A description on how to take the headlight apart; the goal is to change the projectors for retrofit project. There are lots of topics on retrofit, but I could find one in which the first steps are described...
Anyone know a link or description?

Try a search for: headlight and oven,
with the "archives" button checked and the "topic body" (i.e., not titles) option checked.
Even the first few hits seemed informative. HTH

i know a guy that melted his headlights in an oven, also know a guy that melted a bit of his headlight with a heatgun. so either way go slow.

For me it was 225 degree 10-13min. ITR hid. It just barley fit in the oven too.
I bought a oven temp gauge just to make sure i was within temp.
I tried the heat gun trick but i just ended up chewing up some practice headlight.

At first I tried a hair dryer, that was useless... Seems like some guys have luck with the heat gun. But, for me, the oven is better because it heats the entire headlight assembly at the same time.
