I have a 1993 Honda Civic CX. . .

Please help. . .i've taken off the dist. cap. . .and I am now trying to replace the rotor. . .unfortunately I cannot get it off! My Haynes manual says that there is a retaining screw that holds the rotor to the distributor. I cannot find this screw for the life of me!!

Can someone take a digital picture. . .or post a picture of this mysterious screw, or can someone direct me in the direction of this screw and how you take the rotor off! Thanks

Where is a good online store to buy OEM Honda Parts?

ttt.. . does anyone know where I can find the company names of the OEM parts. . specifically the dist. cap, dist. rotor, and fuel filter

 

Take off the cap, you will see the rotor, just below the rotor there is a black piece of plastic, take it off by just pulling down on it, look for the screw, it should be on the rod part of the rotor.

The screw is pretty small, but you should be able to find it.

 

Thank you so very much. . .I can now complete my "maintenance" in the morning. . .for now, it is bed time.

 

If you don't see the screw just crank your car(rotor will turn,you should see the screw) leave the distributor cap off when cranking. Good luck!!!
