Default Seafoam? Improving MPG?

Latley I have noticed my mpg drop a little, I have never ran seafoam before but from what I have read, it does wonders..or will ruin your engine.

Should I try it in my 95 accord? Just put a third of a can in your gas tank right?

It will dry up your rubber(as i heard) if you do seafoam too often. If you never, you should be ok. It is also said that it might clog up your o2 sensor, but when I did it, it was fine.

i've heard that it does work well if used properly. just make sure you only add the recommended amount to your gas tank and you should be fine.

Seafoam is a detergent. If used as directed it will clean your valvetrane and your fuel system.
The correct amount, if I remember correctly from the side of the can, is half can per 20 gallons of fuel.
You also can run it threw your intake, either pouring it into your intake SLOWLY whie running(vertical intakes only) for 1/2 a can or take a vacuum hose like your PCV vavle lose and let it suck it into the intake then as you have sucked a 1/2 can into the intake turn the motor off and let sit for 5minutes. Re-start motor, all the Seafoam and also the carbon build up and burnt oil will run out of your tail pipe in the form of smoke..
When you do this make sure you have A LOT of ventilation because your motor will smoke like a steam train for about the first 5-10 minutes depending upon how much build up you had in your valve trane.
This stuff works good and with your newly cleaned valvetrane you will most likely get better mileage because your motor is running cleaner. If you have high mileage it might do good to repeat this again.
I did this with my Wrangler 4 cylinder with 188k long miles on the motor and felt an improvement in the butt dyno.

Hope this helps
