Does it overheat if you're driving 30+ mph?

Turn ur car on, engine off. Now either get under the car, or from above, reach down to the sensor on the back of the block, has 2 prongs, its the only one there with 2 of em. There will be 2 wires running to it, and typically has a rubber boot that goes over the sensor, if it hasn't rotted away already. Unplug the 2 wires from the sensor. Now get a piece of wire or something to jumper the 2 wires. If ur fan turns on, your coolant fan switch is bad. That would be the thing u just disconnected the 2 wires from.

If it doesn't turn on, make sure u remembered to turn the car on If it still doesn't turn on, then the relay is bad, which is one of the things bolted to the wall of the engine bay nearest the passenger side headlight. Make sure u trace the wires from the coolant fan to the relay so u have the right one as there's 2 of em in that area. Put a good one in and ur fan should work normally. Don't use a toggle switch, thats ghetto and you'll be flicking it all day long until you forget and your engine decides to blow off some steam.

I did hook up a toggle switch for it and it does work when i do that so i now know the fan actually works but i dont always want to be hitting the toggle switch on and off so i did that just temporarily... but i did jack the car up and looked under and i see the plug with two plugs but the problem now is it wasnt even plugged in.. it was dangling.. so i will find where to plug it in and hopefully then it would work.. thank you all very much
