Hey guys, I was just wondering how often you SI/sedan owners redline? I don't own one but I've driven one and I've also driven a type-s and I find it hard not to redline at least first gear . ><

I know once I get mine I won't be redlining that much, but it's way too much fun.

I redline probably only once a day honestly. It's hard to have a long wide open road in L.A. I shift anywhere in between 4-6K usually.

 

I redline once a day IF that, i honestly cant remember the last time i saw the shift light blinkin at me

i have to stay in vtec for a couple gears at least once a day

 

I usually shift between 3500 and 6500 but I get blinked at least once a day.

 

Every morning since I am runnning late to work.

I dont shift till it blinks or I hit the speed limit 40 mph comes to fast you cant even get deep into 2nd

 

atleast once a day getting on the freeway to work/school. love the sound of vtec in the morning...

 

all the time!!!! the motor is built for revs becuase it has very little torq and only makes hp at high RPM. I hit triple digits daily

 

LOL I don't feel so bad about it anymore... it's so hard not to.

 

At least twice a day its 2 addicting like sometimes i will tell my self dont vtec today but i have 2 a 5k run from 2cd to 3rd turns into a vtec run from 2cd to 3rd LOL.

 

i do it when i merge into traffic or trying to beat a yellow light. basically when i need to. sometimes here and there for fun

Well I do not really redline theres no need to your powerband doesnt go all the way to the redline. But I shift within 300 roms of it probably 5 times a day LOL. (at keast, I am probably being very modest)

On the r18 or SI i feel it pulling hard all the way to 8k it loves to be there =/

 

If you have an Si and don't redline at least once a day you should have the car taken away.

Crazy drivers! Why redline? RACE CARR@!

 

On either of em Will. if say your' redline is 8200 your powerband may be max hp at like 7900, (those 300revs go quick so yea it seems to be pulling all the way through there. But running it in a quarter your really wasting time to take it all the way to the R.L.

 

i have 15 wild minutes a day, in which im in constant high revs.
