New here...wheel question
Hey all, new here as of today. Own an '01 Accord LX V6 with the nasty LX V6 covers for wheels. Trying to figure out is the stock LX V6 wheels from a 2007 Accord LX V6 would fit on the car. This new wheel is 17x6 5-lug. The wheel on the '01 is a 15x6.5 5 lug. Wondering what the bolt pattern is on the new wheel. Called the honda parts department here in Spokane yesterday and they didn't know...Anyone have any experience with this?? I want to put Honda wheels on the car just to maintain some originality of the car if you will. I don't really want to put aftermarket wheels on it so...thanks!!
Thanks for that...the parts department also said that the hub size was different. I'm assuming that doesn't matter if the hub is larger on the newer cars than the '01. I can use centering lug nuts or something like that to solve that issue. The dilemna arises if the hub is smaller on the newer cars...then it won't be nearly as easy.
I'm assuming that the steel wheels are what you have on your car now. The bolt pattern should be the same for both of the weels. The only place it might get tricky is with the offset of the new wheels. However, since the 17" wheels on the 07 and only 17x6.5", the same width as your current wheels, it souldn't make too much of a difference. However, to be 100% sure before you make the purchase, check with the Honda dealership about the specific swap.
