2" drop
15x6 ls mesh
stock came as 185/65/14
195/55? would be sticking to the +1 concept
195/50? 205/50?
but 50 series is cheaper for a kid on a budget.
soo?

Get 195/55-15 or 205/50-15. Don't get 195/50-15, which is too small.
Since you're on a budget, I suggest buying the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 in 205/50-15. They're $52/tire at the Tire Rack, and there's a $50 rebate on a set of four (expires next weekend), so you'll actually pay $39.50 (plus shipping and mounting/balancing). That's a really low price, lower than any decent tire in the wrong-size 195/50. While the DZ101 isn't quite as good as, say, the Kumho SPT, the $17.50 difference in price makes this a better choice for someone on a budget.
