suspension needed?

Default suspension needed?

im considering getting sone 17x7 on my lx, i see everyone talks about getting new suspension when talking about rims. can someone explain why, is it just for looks? or for the performance of the car? just wabt to know if its necessary when i buy the rims, thanks

Here are the reason's people change their suspension.
1.Looks better,it eliminates the wheel gap.
2.Better handling with better center of gravity.

You dont need to change out the suspnesion just because your going to throw some rims on.
