GReddy e-manage Ultimate or GReddy e-manage for an R18
i wanted to get a one of these systems to tune my car a little, i have a magnaflow exhaust and K & N sri. i just want a simple tune for now, do u think its worth spending more on the ultimate or should i just get the origional, of course im going to have to have a pro install it and tune it for me, how much u guys think thats gonna run?

IMO.......I'd say save your money. There is not that much more performance you can squeeze out of your mighty R18 with a stand alone.
The only time its worth it to spend money to tune a n/a car (especially ours), is if you got a swap or have heavy modz the drivetrain (cams, head, etc.).
That kind of stuff really is for F/I cars.

Getting any sort of "tuning" done for your car if it only has I/E is completley pointless. Unless youre running cams, ti springs, retainers, high c/r pistons, etc, etc then your stock ecu/map will take care of everything just fine.

in my original reply, i wasn't trying to be mean; it's just pointless to have your car tuned if you have basic bolt ons. if you plan on building the motor or going FI then tuning would be neccessary.
