Think its worth it?
So I've decided on going with the HFP suspension and as I see it I have two ways of getting it done:
1. Get the kit online and have it installed at a local shop or do it myself - gonna cost ~$600-1000
2. Get it thru my stealership and have them install it - Gonna cost ~$1320 w/ 10% off coupon on the $800 suspension kit
They already told me that I could get the kit and have it installed elsewhere, but if there's ever a problem (as always) they won't cover it. But if I get installed by them, I'll be covered and won't have to worry about anything.
I think I'm gonna go with option 2, but I just wanted to know what people thought about this before I make my decision. Do you think the $300+ is worth it for the warranty coverage to get it done by the dealer? It is to me, but I also don't necessarily want to waste the money, especially since I could do a few more things with the $300+
What would you do?

I was thinking about getting the HFP suspension kit myself and if I did, I would have just got the stealership to install it due to the fact that the warranty would still remain.....
My $0.02

get the HFP suspension off of egay, then install it yourself, not that difficult. Rent out an impact gun and you'll be done in no time.
I plan on doing this and it'll only cost me 600 bucks, dont be scared to turn a wrench. If you dont' have a garage use a buddies garage.
if you need some help holla, nothing like some good wrenching time and some hooters afterwards,

I suggest you get it for as cheap as you can get it and install it yourself (just be sure it's new and genuine Honda HFP). Granted, I did not install mine, but my mechanic said it was really easy. Only took him an hour and a half to do the entire install.
He also told me that since it was Honda Factory, there is very little that can go wrong or break. He said warranty is pretty much a non issue, specially since the Honda warranty on the installation is limited.
Just be sure to have your car aligned after you have it installed and have driven on it for a few hundred miles.
Just by 2 bits of opinion.

My suggestion would be to buy it online and install it yourself; If your somewhat mechanically inclined it will be no problem.
I installed my HFP suspension by myself with two jacks and about 4hrs.
just my 2 cents
You can do it, especially if you wanna save some money

well thanks, everyone. It would appear that the choice is pretty clear... You might have me convinced
I am somewhat mechanically inclined, but haven't ever done a suspension install, so I'm a little bit weary still. I might just have to hit someone up for some help and get 'er done
Anyone else have an opinion?

Buy the suspension online and install it yourself. I've got a little DIY posted that you may find somewhat helpful but I'd HIGHLY reccomend just getting the install instructions from Honda.
I did the entire install, in my driveway with handtools, by myself and it honestly didnt take me long at all. The fronts are SUPER easy... the rears take a little more work but if you've got an extra hand it'll be fairly straightforward.
I"m extremley happy with my HFP susp and I"ve had it on for at least 4k miles now... a little more harsh ride than stock but it handles a lot bettter and is still comfortable to ride in... not to mention i dont worry about scraping all the time
Just get it!

LOL suspension is something you don't wanna take chances with thats your life.
If someone can help him that has done springs etc that would be better.

Something else everyone forgot to mention, since you are worried about the warranty, just do it yourself for ~600$
If something goes wrong, (highly unlikely) buy it again, diy, ~600$
still under the 1350$ the dealership costs.
