TEIN Warranty? Broke some shit...
Umm... ok so I decided to stiffen up my shocks today (Tein SS) and as I go to turn the adjustment **** on my front left shock, I found that it wouldn't turn by hand. I decided to try using the little TEIN tool (allen wrench with a green handle -- wooo) Well, that didn't work. Well... it did. The **** turned but didn't click, and as soon as I went to take the tool out, the **** stuck to the end. IT SNAPPED OFF.
So... Now I'm not sure what to do. I'm going to call the store I bought them from and see what can be done, but I never thought that this product would have such a problem.
Anyone have this issue before, or any other quality issue with a TEIN product? Do we know the warranty and/or procedures?

Well... I wasn't patient enough to wait around for something else to come out when I bought the car a year ago.
What would you recommend for a full coil over suspension?

In a perfect world... Zeal B2's
In the real world... there is nothing out... or on the horizon that "blows my mind"...sadly.

THey're riding on their name. Better products out there, for better prices, but none for the apps you want!

sorry to hear it, but like i've been preaching everywhere (especially to 8th civic) Tein products = garbage. I would fight to get it replaced... but you'll probably have other gripes about the suspension later on down the road...

thats sucks the same thing happened to one of my friends. He had the TEIN SS setup on his ep3 and then the rear passenger strut broke. I guess that's why I don't like coilover setups. IMO they're only good if you really do some road racing or auto crossing.
Im saving up for a HFP suspension, screw it i'm only doing DD with my car.
Well good luck fixing your problem.

well, me personally.. i've always thought Tein was a quality product. And it always seemd so. But only in this forum have I ever seen bashing on any Tein products.
Lets remember though, all these products are made by man and a machine. Nothing is perfect (refer to Six Sigma, in Tein's case, probably Five Sigma), **** happens, otherwise we'd live in a perfect world and a lot of people would be jobless (including myself). This is why products come with warranty. So it happened, well you stated yourself you didn't tighten something down hard enough, perhaps that is the reason.
I'm still a fan of Tein products, my friend had Tein Type HA in his 99 civic coupe, **** was on RAILS!!!!! I plan to possibly stick with the Tein route, still waiting for other options out there... but yeah like i said only in this 2006+ forum have i ever seen people bashing Tein
just my .2cents

TEIN is the worst suspension company ever! I would never buy another TEIN product again. Give them a call and see what they can do, which is most likely nothing.

Not true, go to any site where they actually use their cars, and you'll see them bashing TEINs. Go to any Nissan, BMW, Subaru, and/or Mitsu forum and you can see that nobody counts on TEINs to get them through the track/circuit.

hm, i must have mis-read the first part last night. I thought i read that you said you forgotten to tighten down some suspension bolt or something. my bad
and what I've said... I'll stick to it.. I don't visit many other forums. ANd only until thhis forum opened was the first time I started reading people talking trash on Tein. If that has been happening for awhile now, I've never seen it... only until th FGs came out did i see people bashing on Tein *shrugs*
I've got Tein S-Tech springs in my car (i know not coilovers, but also my first Tein ANYTHING) and have had ZERO issues
again.. nothing in this world is perfect
lets see, Mike (aka Type X) has the Megan Racing coilovers, those had issues with sagging in the rear (i.e. mailing out defected prodcuts, which has since been corrected) but no one talks trash on a company that hasn't been around in suspension as long as TeinUSA after all that had been said and done...
iono, just my view
my personal experience in the past has been Skunk2 Coilovers on my Em1 w/stock shocks, solid setup, wish i would have gotten around to some konis
