Clicking noise coming from inside steering column?

Clicking noise coming from inside steering column?

Took my car to the shop today..to check out the clicking...at first I assumed it was the axles...shop claimed they were fine.

Now my question is, has anyone encountered this similar problem? steering wheel clicking when turning the steering wheel?

does your steering wheel lock if you try to move the wheel with key removed?? more than likely has somethign to do with that mechanism

Yes my steering wheel locks...when the key is removed.

I have/had the same clicking from the steeringwheel/column. Only came when i turned the wheel fast and only right after starting the car (cold).
Don't know what it is, but now its a while since last time i heard it.
