Has anybody driven an '07 Toyota Camry?
My mom (70) is wanting to buy a new car. She's looking at the '07 Toyota Camry LE as well as the '07 Honda Accord LX.
Just wondering how they compare. Is the Camry still more comfortable but the Honda has better handling? Any ideas on how the Toyota's automatic transmission will hold up (new engine)?
Thanks for any insight.
Also, I'll soon be the proud owner of her current vehicle, a '95 Toyota Camry which will be my commuter, my '99 Accord LX will remain my main family car. Does anybody know of any good Toyota forums?

Wow, intelligent responses?
Everyone I know that owns a new Camry seems to be in love with it (4 people) all of thesepeople are in their upper 40's at least so I'm sure your mother would be fine with it.
I know nothing about maintence so no clue on that.
I personally like the body styling as well.

the new camrys lies on mpg. my cousin has the v6 and he only gets like 18 city and 22 highway. that car is nearly 3300 lbs and thats not including people who sit on it for more added weight. but other than mpg and exterior look, its the same as all the previous camry in terms of ride comfort etc.
Well, today she bought... a Honda Accord SE ('07). I had talked to her about how Honda is in it's fifth year of this model thus all the bugs have been worked out (knock on wood), but the Camry is a new model with a new engine and I've seen word about transmission troubles already (reading reviews). She test drove the Accord and was happy with how it performed so that's what she went with. She's not the type to want the latest, newest looking car - she just wants a good reliable car. She paid about $100 more than Edmunds "Fair Market Value" price so she did allright. I think she'll be very happy with her car.
I don't see her hanging out on these forums though. Just a hunch.

my mother just purchased an 07 Camry SE
the SE (sports model) has factory lip kits, lip spoiler, fog lights, as well as a retuned suspension and a slighly lower stance. it really handles the road well...and it doesnt feeling like its floating, as does toyota's big boat
