when i got the EF a yr ago, it started just fine, after i put it in the garage and let it sit there for half a yr, i decided to start on priming and get the car ready for paint, then i got tired of doing it. i took it to the bodyshop and paided them to paint it. after i did that, it acted funny. it didnt wanna idol right or didnt wanna start and sounded like it wanted to die on me. i changed the alternator, thermstat, sensor, spark plugs, battery, put new oil and coolit in it. it still dont wanna start. can someone tell me why it wont start but will crank.

 

Check the Distrubitor...hope this would help you out I had problem it wont start n it make funny sound everytime i crank it over...so the Rotor were broke..so just check it out

is the computer flashing any codes?

 

how would i know, if the wires is not correct and the computer and the distrubitor?

 

if your engine is OBD0 the computer is under the rug on the passenger side... then a red light will be flashing. look up the codes on this forum, and then ount the number of blinks and look up the code

 

what engine is it?

 

its a dx and could it be that i bought the wrong wires, kuz the car is a 1.5 and i might of bought 1.6. the side of the engine says d15

 

just check the cap and rotor to see if they are good...i had mine broke and i crank it over and wont even start

 

the rotor is the round grey part inside?

 

Yes is it broke or Loose?
