My buddy has an 88 crx, it has a jdm motor in it, 1.5 sohc non-vtec. he had brake light issues so disconnected the batt to swap horn fuses since they are related? plugged batt back in and car wouldnt start. checked and ecu fuse was blown, so replaced fuse without disconnecting battery. car started and ran fine till 4k, then died off. he stopped on the side of the road, pulled the batt cable to reset the ecu, and after sitting for 1/2 hr it wont start, starter turns the motor but it wont fire. any ideas what may be going on? Sorry for the dumb question but I am a prelude guy.

 

maybe u'd need a new ground wires or a ecu?

 

Maybe the distrubitor..does it backfired or struggle to start?

 

all the grounds looked great, as for the dizzy i dunno, doesnt really try to catch at all, just cranks over. i am thinking he may have fried the ecu?

 

did it get started at all?....I remember when i was racing wit my friend and all suddenly i heard LOUD BACKFIRE and my friend saw a big fire come out and it keep shakin while driving i was like wtf So my friend came n check the Distrubitor Rotor..its fked up so you prob wanna check the CAP ROTOR in the Distrubitor hope it will solve his problem

 

it started fine the first time, but wouldnt rev past 4,000, then disconnected batt and wouldnt start.

 

if its the ecu... i just put my pg7 on ebay...
