1/4 mile time with gsr trans
hey guys i have a 93 cx with a built gsr swap about 190hp to the wheels. i am running an LS trans currently and my question is, how much faster do you think i would run the quarter mile with a gsr or b16 trans instead of the LS

your best bet is to get a liberty gearset with 4.9 final drive, gforce shifter and nitro driveline with spool for the best results...that will knock about 0.2 seconds off your current time...
...very cost effective too !!!

LMAO
Honestly, you could probably see gains somewhere around .2 - .6 in the 1/4. Maybe more even. Depends on a lot.
As for labor price. I have no idea. Go check local garages that do work. Or you can put the tranny in yourself.

why?
and what would it depend on? If i could drop .6 in the quarter id definitely do it, .2 aint really worth it considering id need to get it installed and bring it to Evans to get retuned

Go run the car how it sits at the track with the LS tranny. Look at your rpm in 4th gear (.....ehhhh...LS tranny......hhhhmmm..........might still be in 3rd gear.....) at the end of the track. Ultimately you want to be around peak rpm(ASSuming your peak rpm is around your peak power) at the end of the track in 4th gear. Holla back with your track results and you will probably be able to answer your own question.
i lost 2 tenths from changing from gsr trans to b16 and thats with 155whp and 4500ft. elevation..
so i guessing you'll lose a 4tenths+

so maybe i should go with a b16 trans then?
