Default brake light turns on when i shift????

whenever i shift at higher RPMs 5000+ either right before or when i put the clutch in the brake light turns on. why is this happening???

also when i'm driving around theres this strange sound coming from my wheels or somewhere from under my car, like this odd sort of ticking sound, dont know how to describe it. anyone know what this is?

Ur brake switch above the brake pedal is probly loose and really close to the pdel so when u shift ur car jerks a tad bit but causes the switch to activate, theres a way to loosen and tighten the switch, just look at it underneath the dash above the brake pedal u'll se what i mean. As for the ticking noise, could be ur valves in need of a valve lash job.

captain obvious says you are low on fluid and the float in the master cylinder is being moved slightly as your car moves/stops.

check the fluid level.

What I was going to say.

The e-brake light is the same as the brake light.

Yes, we understand. It says "BRAKE" in red on the gauge cluster. That turns on if your hand brake is up and if the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir is low.
