baskets? or do you mean brackets. if brackets is what you are asking, then good luck finding some. thay have been discontinued, along with that plastic gasket or seal that goes around the speaker. they do have the speaker grill at dealerships.

your best bet is hit up junk yards, ebay, or the classified section here on HT.

or you can also add speakers on the rear panel that goes over the trunk area.

I've got a set of brackets kicking around. These are the USDM ones that hold a single 5.25" speaker. I dont have the plastic cover for the rear interior piece though. If you want them shoot me a PM.

I know next to nothing about audio installs, but can't a good audio shop just mount a speaker in the plastic rear interior piece?

I'm sure you could get creative or make your own brackets. You could probably pickup some thin sheet metal, cut a hole in it, and use some self-tappers to secure it to the inside of the car.

They could yes, but that plastic piece comes apart from the rest of the side panel interior. It's held in by like 6 tabs if I am correct and you probably dont want to support the weight of a speaker from it. You'll need to make a rear support bracket, but yeh, you could cut a hole in that plastic piece.

The brackets I've got kicking around are like this (#2/3 and 5/8):

Notice in the first picture the two different side panel inserts. The one with or without the speaker grill in the plastic.

I have parts 1 and 2/3. PM me if you want them and/or pics.

Sorry, but I dont have 5/6...

And to be honest with you, Your speakers will sound like **** if you rear interior is gutted... Imagine Yelling into a metal 55 gallon drum... Not my idea of a good sounding system. I like my 6.5" CDT components in the doors. Thats all I run(off of 22wrms HU power).
