Default Bad spark Plugs?????

So I recently put in some Skunk2 Cams and cam gears, along with an intake manifold and some valvetrain in my JDM B16a. After everything is installed and checked the car starts up but is running VERY rich. Most of the time when it starts up it begins to sputter alot (low rpms). So a few days later I go to start up my car to go to school and nothing. I check the spark plugs and they are BLACK. I mean down to the part where you screw them in. Can it be that the spark plugs went bad to due the car running rich and that is why it wont start? Also, I have a brand new distributor in there so im leaning on that.

Sounds like a MAP sensor issue, make sure you have everything plugged in correctly. When i did my JDM D15b, the MAP sensor was busted, at the time i didnt know, so it had those similiar symptoms where it ran extremely rich, black plugs, and most of all, sputtered like crazy on startups, as if it was misfiring. Get a new map sensor and keep us posted.

BTW, getting any CEL codes?

Yea, its a chipped P28. On the 98 DX vehicles is the MAP sensor located on the fire wall and it has a vaccum line running to the manifold? Because on my OBD I Throttle Body it only had a TPS sensor, now I have an OBD II Bored throttle body and the map sensor is there. If it is localed on the firewall should I just plug it up to the throttle body?

I know that B16's use external MAP's for some reason. Replace the sensor, and check the vaccum hose it uses to be sure that its not clogged, or has anything lodged in it, that may constrict the flow.
Ive seen this happen with a MAP sensor thats plugged in, by not reading off the manifold's pressure correctly, causing the same thing, sputtering and mis-firing, and the car to run extremely rich.
The worst is the soot it leaves on the back bumper, and the smokecloud you can see pour out at night when you hit VTEC, and can see the smoke in the headlights of the cars behind you ( So embarrassing, lol) . My first thought was that i was burning lots of oil, turns out it was just running incredibly rich.
