Default a pool of oil

I havent driven my R for a few days now, and while I was in the process of cleaning it out for the summer I stumbled upon a pool of oil in my spare tire rim. Don['t know how it happend but the cap to the 10w30 was unscrewed and somehow it seeped through the pastic bag I kept it in. Unfortunately I also keep the OEM tool bag inside the rim. The bag is soaked.

Now my question is: wht material is the bag made out of. Looks like leather, feels fake. Whats the deal? and how the hell do I get oil out of it.
