Fuel injectors
Curious if anyone has heard of this. Ive got some feedback from a couple r18 guys saying they have put Si injectors in there r's, getting a bit of power. I checked Fuel pressure regulator stats and they are the same from the fg1 to the fg2 (around 48psi). Wouldn't that just dump fuel?
I can't see ANY reason why you would throw larger injectors on the car.. There is absolutely no need unless you're going F/I or something of the sort and need a lot more fuel with the increased airflow.
I think this idea was started by the guys with the AEM CAIs, a lot of us get the cel p0171 running to lean, maybe they think this is a fix for that, and a way to ad power.
Do the R18's use a mass air or speed density style system? If it's mass air like the Si's then the computer should learn to compensate for the increased air volume, unless of course someone forgot to reset the computer after they installed
