Sad but true!!! He told me I have 24 hours to fix the car and get it out and Im having trouble with the following:

-Axle Hub that connects to half shaft will nto pop loose

-If I take out the half shaft Bracket that hold it to the block, will it it pop out from the TRANS???

-I took out all the 17mm bolts from around the trans, Is there anything other than the Half shaft holding the tranny in place??

There is one on the opposite side of the tranny on the back of the motor, on the the side facing the drivers side.

 

Use Pry to pop it out, it would pop out when u use PRY...i fix my hatch yesterday and i use screwdriver and it pops out anything wrong with the trans?

wish i had the day off, i'd come help.. but like others have said, use a pry bar and instead of just constant pressure, you've got to kind of "pop" it to get it off.

 

pry bar is like a big flat head scrwwdriver. Stick it in between the half shaft and axle and pry them apart

did you take the 14mm bolts that hold the halfshaft in place?

yea just take off those 14mm. You have got to remove the halfshaft to drop the trans. Get a long flat head and stick in inbetween the axle and the intermidate shaft right were the axle goes in and pry at it hard. Some times they are a pita.

 

If I were you I would find someone with a fixed up Honda and see if they could help you. Fixed up, I don't mean ricey, just something clean. I would just start asking people.

+1, if I'd had any advance notice I could swing down and help you out, but as it sits I've got a **** ton of work to do.

did you remove the starter? one of the starter bolts goes through the transmission into the block

 

Yes there is one bolt that I can see that I can't get too.....I think there is two right??

 

there are 2 bolts on the starter. One on each side.

 

Dude man don't give up your car. Just find someone to help you. It isn't worth your car getting towed. Even someone that works on american cars anyone, well most, can help you that know about cars.

 

ok I know what they are....I think I have on but the other is really hard to get out.....

 

I'm not a tranny guru, but if it's just your third gear syncro, couldn't you just drive in second gear to somewhere else. Or even put it in neutral and push it across the street. I'm just saying as a last ditch effort, get it off his property and tell him to **** off.

 

Yeah bro im trying to get things done today...Its just prices at shops are CRAZY and I know I can do especially with honda-tech....its just Im in such a rush now..because I have had my car in there since Tuesday.....


Im stressing out....I hope I can finish everything when I get off in 20 minutes....

UPDATE********

Ok so I got the FREAKIN TRANNY OUT!!! THANK GOD!!!!

NOW I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM! Im replacing motor mounts as well as the tranny.....OK well THE FREAKING REAR motor mount will not budge....why??

HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU GET behind the back of the motor mount so I can take out that 14mm????

I cannot find anyway...WTF!
