Default B16 SIR in CRX HF

I Did A B16 in my CRX HF and when it first got done it was throwing a TPS light and Vtec malfunction and It would never go past 7000 rpm. Now when it's cold it does it but once it warms up it will go to 8200. You can hear my Vtec kicking in and out when it is only going to 7000. Does someone know what it could be?

we need some more info. Did you do the swap yourself? What OBD are you? What ecu are you using? What guides did you use for wiring if you did the wiring yourself?

Based on what information? It's not uncommon to run OBD1 in an EF.

You wouldn't want to be reving your engine that high before warming it up first anyway

It's probably the low cam rev limiter

your engine wont let you rev high when the car isnt warmed up because you will damage it. they did this for ppl like you.

This is why I will never buy a used engine from an HT'er.

yes we did the swap, The ECU is PR3, OBD 0, and the wiring we used a hasport sub harness and my brother in law did the rest of the wiring. I know when we first got done the vtec didnt work at all the mike found the wires in the harness for the vtec were backwards so we switched them
