Highway Race: My GSR vs. ghetto'd Infinity V8 Q45
I was on my way to a barbecue over Memorial weekend, and I was was driving on the Grand Central Parkway at the speed limit westbound towards the Triboro bridge I noticed a Q45 with tints and huge 17" rims tailing me. He rides on my bumper and follows closely.
I look in my rear view mirror and nodded. I then put it in 4th and floored it, changed lanes and took off...
So did he....
But the whole time, I was ahead of him by like 2.5 carlengths and he couldn't pull on me. As we were passing by La Guardia airport, the highway has some turns and I noticed that my tail was swinging out so I decided to slow down....which at that point in time the Q45 just passes me.
Once the road straightened out again I floored it and passed him....it was over already I guess.
Anyhow.....I had my suspension set real soft in the rear for comfort at the expense
of high speed stability on the highway. But anyhow this afternoon, I tightened up the rear suspension, both compression and rebound on my Konis so that I can take the highway at high speeds with more stability thru the turns.

The highway is NOT a race track. Take it where it belongs or the next time your "tail is swinging out" it might hit something - like a concrete divider or another car.
you dont even deserve a cookie for that lame story about driving like a moron.

Thats true....but sometimes I just cant resist getting on the gas....
Good thing I slowed down though and didnt push the car overboard
