Default side exhaust...

Thought you guys would like this. Been working on this today, 4" oval tubing back to the muffler. Going to be fun making the other side exactly the same.

Looking at the body lines, my guess would be a Mustang.

very nice cut

hopfully the heat doesn't mess with the paint afterwords, being that tight of a clearance.

Any forseen issues with motor flex causing the whole exhaust system to shift?

This part of the exhaust will be welded to the body to appear as if it is floating but actually hard mounted. There are flex couplers previous to this part of the exhaust.

Thanks for all the compliments, it took a fair amount of time to trim out...

ahhh good thing too. I built a few viper exhausts, that came out in the same spot from the factory, and they would get a good 1/2" longer when hot so I would have to put the tip to the front of the opening so it would be centered when warmed up.

Especially with stainless, I did this on a guys audi once, made the whole exhaust turbo back and than side exit out of 304ss, first time I ever made a stainless exhaust. Anyways when it warmed up I think it moved about 1-1.5", I was really choked

No not at all, in fact it was smaller audi, a coupe quattro to be exact, I think the fact I made the downpipe out of stainless didn't help much either. Might have only moved a total of 1" but definitely no less, last time I ever made a SS downpipe. Ceramic coated mild steel wins for me.
