Default going to start doing ecu mods. whatcha think

i am trying to get a good feel on price for a one set price.

1 ecu - Vtec enabled > Vtec can be disabled by program
the main fuctions etc... rev, speed limiter, shift light, etc... the basic stuff
data logging port, and cable plus software. 200.00 this includes the ecu, data cable, and software

the only thing a person would need to buy, if they wanted to tune their own car. Wideband, and a rom-emulator.

also the other thing is i don't want to start selling bogus chips. say you install this skunk2 chip and you'll get 10 hp... Bullshit, because thath program was never intended to be used on Your untuned motor. Pretty much a good all around program that isn't going to run too lean, too rich..

That would be neet I think for those who would know how to use free software such as crome and such.

I am actually looking for such a program/chip/ecu that I can could take the speed govenor off, make my check engine light a shift light, data logger and maybe some minor changes to my fuel maps.

$200 seems like too much.
You can get a chipped p28 ecu from here for $155. (even thats a bit much in my opinion) Even if you add in some extras 200 still seems like too much.

I mean you can get a p06 from ebay for around $60 and a vtec conversion+chip for $35 from here (which his functionally equivalent to a p28)
So thats $95. Add a bit more for the soldering work and data logging extras, sell it for a bit under a chipped p28 price and you might have some buyers.
