Will a EF suspension work on EG
I saw an eg with a crx suspension swap and it looked fine. I asked about the ride, and the guy said he liked it.
I'm going to give it a shot on my 92 hatch. but mine is a cx, and has the same weight as my 91 si. I'm doing it this weekend and can post some pictures if anyone's still interested.

The 88-91 front struts are not the same size as the 92-00. The bottoms of the 88-91 are smaller in diameter than the 92-00. The 92-00 will not physically fit into the lower forks of a 88-91; the 92-00 Forks will not tighten down onto a 88-91 strut.

Swapping the Strut Forks is all he needs to do. Won't affect anything in a negative manner. People have run 92+ forks and spring/strut combos for some time now to allow for a wider market of aftermarket suspesion components. So, in my opinion, it would be a waste of time to sell the EF/ED suspension for EG when it's a $10-$20 part to be able to transfer them over.
The forks are exactly the same size, other than the diameter of the coller that the shock fits in. you can swap them over from EF to EG/DC and vice versa.
The rear shocks should bolt right up, but I'm not 100% sure that the spring length will match up perfectly. I seem to remember stock EF springs making the ride height higher in the rear of an EG, but it was a while ago, so I can't be sure. And I think it made the front a bit lower than stock too.

yeah, he could just get EG springs and be fine with the ef shocks.

Actually the EF forks are thinner than the EG....i just swapped my EF ones out for EG forks......but really it isnt a big difference if you were to throw EF ones on the EG
