Running fan after turning the car off
okay, I literally just got home after buying a '93 10th Anniversary Edition (I read online it uses the LX trim and the main addition is ABS), and like I mentioned in the title, there's a fan under the hood, near the front, that continues to run after I turn the engine off.
I didn't get an owner's manual or anything, so I dunno if it's supposed to be cooling the engine off or what. I really don't know that much...but somehow this strikes me as not supposed to be happening.
I can't figure out how to make it stop (it's been running about 20 min.), so I figure I'd come to you guys because...I don't know what else to do!
Thanks, in advance. I'll be watching this thread, but if you want to get a hold of me quickly, my AIM name is JuiceboxVillan and my cell is 574-210-6870.

It is normal for the fan to run for a little bit after turning the car, if it is very hot outside or you drove the car a little hard. On my 5th generation Accord, I estimate if it runs; it runs about 5 - 10 minutes to cool down the engine.
Running 20 minutes or more, I would check the coolant level in the radiator (after it cooled down, of course), and the reservoir. If coolant levels are okay, and it keeps running too long or don't stop, you may need to replace the radiator fan timer, which I believe is located under the driver side dash for your model year.

Maybe when this happens your radiator will die soon. This happened on my Accord 97.
hah! It better not, I just put a new one in today.
